Palo Alto Square is a 6-building campus consisting of two 10-story, two 2-story & two 1-story buildings in the heart of Page Mill Hill.  LUX Create’s design was inspired by the origins of the city name, El Palo Alto meaning “tall tree” in Spanish, referring to a 1000-year-old redwood tree that is still standing to this day, along the train tracks of Palo Alto. The “vertical and linear” design tied together with the historical use of the tree as a landmark for reference point and location . Our design incorporated the texture, and the movement of the bark, the proportions, and the overall significance to Palo Alto’s history.
